Saturday night at the Beresford is like dining on a nightclub dance floor. Consequently, on occasion, the food feels a little secondary to the bar action. That said, we ate great quality cuts of meat. The steak in particular was excellent - pink, juicy and nicely charred on the outside. A chicken parmigiana with bocconcini and basil was tasty but the accompanying tomato sauce was a little too runny, and an entree of arancini balls was a bit of a letdown, lacking flavour. That said, the place is packed - we booked ahead and just got the last table. Maybe the food can be enjoyed more on quieter nights.
