The Murray is raging as we watch tree trunks being tossed from the haven of the pub. It's definitely the closest pub to the Murray and river talk and what's biting are hot topics. You can drop in for a steak sandwich for $10, and the chicken Oscar is pretty good - tenderloins with prawns and asparagus in a creamy garlic bearnaise sauce for $24. Steaks are popular, with a choice of mushroom, diane or pepper sauce an extra $2 - gravy is gratis. Desserts are $6 to $7. The bar has lots of memorabilia, including photos of the 2010 floods, which saw water lapping at the stairs.
