Who knows what the large luxury development across Forbes Street holds for this quiet Darlinghurst stretch, but for now this classy corner cafe provides a leafy respite within its lovely golden sandstone walls. The organic, free-trade Golden Cobra caffe latte ($3.60) is poured with a remarkably fine crema. The non-trad menu does breakfast burritos with wagyu mince, lentils replacing beans. There's more menu joy with supple poached eggs with creamy avocado and broccoli florets, and daily changing house-made muffins for the angst-ridden skinny-binnies from the neighbouring art school.
